NORTHEAST EDITING WELCOMES VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

As of January 17, Marie McTague, PMP, has joined our staff as vice president of business development, reporting to CEO Tracey Vasil Biscontini. Marie holds an MS in instructional technology and a BA in English and possesses more than 20 years’ experience in instructional design, writing, and editing. Marie spent nearly 10 years as an editor and project manager with Penn Foster (now owned by The Princeton Review) designing educational material for K–12 and adult learners. More recently, Marie has been responsible for the development of online and classroom learning experiences for various Fortune 500 companies, culminating in her prior role as AVP and director of commercial lines underwriting training and development. Marie’s expertise includes needs analyses, program design, project management, and rapid e-learning development featuring Web 2.0 services. Marie is also an accomplished writer and copy editor as well as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Northeast Editing, Inc., recently welcomed Nicole Frail and Jack Lasky to its staff as full-time editors. Both Nicole and Jack began working for Northeast Editing on a freelance basis. Their consistently strong writing and editing skills stood out and earned them full-time positions. Rebecca Sparling, formerly editor, recently received a promotion to the position of senior editor. Sparling, who has been with the company since 2005, will now be responsible for managing projects and overseeing the work of the editorial staff. Sparling holds a B.A. in English from Marywood University.
