Several of Northeast Editing, Inc.’s authors and editors played a role in the creation of two new For Dummies titles: Firefighter Exam For Dummies and Police Officer Exam For Dummies, both published in January of 2011. The books were written by Tracey Vasil Biscontini, president and CEO, and Lindsay Rock, managing editor, with assistance from Elizabeth Mohn, senior editor, and editors Angela Harmon and Nicole Frail. Northeast Editing, Inc. hired Stacy L. Bell, VP and principal consultant of Fire & Police Selection, Inc. as a consultant for Firefighter Exam and Raymond E. Foster, former lieutenant for the LAPD as a consultant for Police Officer Exam. “Northeast managed to meet all of their deadlines without any hiccups and also received stellar reviews from our meticulous in-house project editors, as well as the third-party technical experts we hired to review the material,” remarked Tracy Boggier, acquisition editor for the Consumer Dummies Division, Wiley Publishing, Inc.
