Sales and Marketing Associate
We are in need of a full- or part-time sales associate to help us expand our business and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients. This individual will inform educational publishers and assessment vendors of our services, outstanding track records, and many referrals from existing clients. He or she will assist with RFPs and bidding and may travel to conferences. Telecommuting is available for the right individual. In addition to an outgoing personality, the successful candidate should have the following:
- Contacts in educational publishing
- Experience in publishing sales and marketing
- A proven track record in providing outstanding customer service, including following through with client phone meetings and requests
- Knowledge of the high-stakes testing industry
- A familiarity with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and other state standards for K–12 and beyond
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
Senior Project Manager/Content Developer
We are in need of a full-time senior project manager/content developer with significant experience in educational publishing.The successful candidate should be comfortable managing projects in various disciplines, including reading, ELA, social studies, science, and math.
Duties:
- Communicate with new and existing clients to establish project specifications, editorial guidelines, timelines, and budgets
- Develop and oversee the creation of assessment materials for reading, ELA, math, science, and social studies
- Assemble teams of writers, editors, subject matter experts and designers, both in-house and freelance
- Develop positive working relationships with new and existing clients
- Assist senior staff in training and supervising internal and freelance staff
- Maintain workflows to successfully meet deadlines
- Maintain project budgets
Qualifications:
- Experience working with educational publishers and/or testing vendors
- Experience writing and editing test items
- Outstanding writing skills
- Outstanding copyediting skills and a keen eye for detail
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A positive attitude
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle stress
- Ability to motivate internal and external staff
- Familiarity with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
- Classroom teaching experience a plus, but not required
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
Experienced Freelance Item Writers
We have an ongoing need for freelance item writers in science, social studies, math, reading, and ELA. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked for testing companies. Applicants should be able to write high-quality multiple-choice and open-ended items that closely adhere to state and national standards as well as rubrics, sample responses, and rationales.
