NORTHEAST EDITING, INC., WINS LARGE CENGAGE CONTRACT

Company Selected as Sole Vendor for Books & Authors

January, 2009—Northeast Editing, Inc., a full-service developer of print and digital products for educational publishers, is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the sole vendor to create new entries and update existing entries in Cengage Learning’s popular Books & Authors online database, which profiles more than 150,000 fiction books and 30,000 nonfiction books. Readers use Books & Authors to explore the endless possibilities of books, authors, and topics. The database is ideal for reading groups and book clubs and is utilized by libraries serving students, professionals, and casual readers. “It is a privilege to be chosen as the vendor that will manage this amazing product,” notes Northeast Editing, Inc.’s president and CEO Tracey Vasil Biscontini. “In these challenging times, to be awarded such a large contract is an incredible honor. Books & Authors is subscribed to by more than 5,000 libraries nationwide. Northeast Editing, Inc. will create 5,000 new entries and update 30,000 entries in 2009.  The company will hire and train more than 40 freelancers writers and editors to accomplish this task.
